Travelling by train

The Regional Express Trains (TER) make it possible to reach Nice (France) or Ventimiglia (Italy) in 25 minutes, with a train every 15 minutes on average.

On Saturday 22 August, four trains per hour are scheduled in both directions, running from around 6am between Nice (Cannes) and Menton until late in the evening, with the last services leaving Monaco between 1.30am and 2am overnight from Saturday into Sunday, depending on the destination station.

On Sunday 23 August, four trains per hour are scheduled in both directions, running from around 6am towards Nice (Cannes) and Menton until around 11pm.

Services to and from Ventimiglia run twice an hour over a similar timeframe.

Given the traffic restrictions linked to the route of La Vuelta, and the resulting closure of a number of public car parks, spectators travelling to the Principality by car are strongly advised to park at the Salines Car Park.

This car park offers preferential rates, at €7.50 for half a day (under 4 hours) or €11 for a full day (between 4 and 12 hours).

To then reach the start of the stage, spectators can either: 

• Take one of the Monegasque Bus Company buses, all of which will be free of charge, although some specific arrangements and diversions will apply due to the event  (Click here to find out more)
• Walk, which takes around 15 minutes via the Salines Gallery
•  Cycle, using the Monabike stations near the Exotic Garden roundabout

You can book your space online in advance via Monaco Parkings.

A bicycle park on Rue Imberty, in the heart of the Condamine neighbourhood, will be set up on 22 August and supervised by a volunteer. Users will need to bring their own padlocks.

Travelling by motorhome

Due to the organisation of the event, it will not be possible to drive or park motorhomes in the Principality. We therefore invite users to check with neighbouring municipalities for possible parking areas for this type of vehicle.

Travelling by helicopter

With Monaco Heliport, the "Nice Côte d'Azur" International Airport is only a 7-minute flight from the Principality, with a departure every 20 minutes on scheduled flights.

It is possible to carry out, from Monaco, all the registration formalities for national flights and most international flights, departing from the Nice Côte d'Azur International Airport. Similarly, travellers can check in for Monaco from the main foreign airports.
